A King and his son (From the collection ray of Life)

The numbness overwhelmed him,
Yet the sword shifted in his hand,
A stroke through his bone, the pain rained his leg,
His eyes widened, watching him,
As it came crushing down again,
A little laughter as he slipped underneath,
The movements were faster,
Each a step, the gestures changes,
The steel rattled aloud as the echoes hollowed out through the hall,
The coldness bewailed him,
Yet sweat steamed his eyes as his hand defended another stroke,
The heavy weight pushed down,
He stood holding, the steel might rattled and scrapped,
With a slight hesitation he pushed back,
The night air gave in as the final stroke crushed down,
The boy stood his tip pointing,
The bearded man glanced up,
His glaring eyes smiled only to be marveled,
As a hand lifted the King, only to stand by his son once more…
